New Micromax ICS FunTab Launched

Another day, another Ice Cream Sandwich tablet; Indian manufacturer Micromax has announced the launch of Android 4.0 powered Funbook today. Running on a 1.2GHz processor, this tablet will be sold for Rs. 6,499 in the country.

Indian tablet market is increasingly getting more and more competitive. It features 7-inch capacitive display, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB Internal storage. Funbook also supports 3G connectivity via USB dongle and Micromax is bundling a Tata Photon EVDO datacard with the tablet.

Among other features, Micromax Funbook will come with pre-loaded e-learning app that will have host of educational content from Pearson, Everon, GK Publishers, Scholars-hub, Vidyalankar, Universal Tutorials, CAPS and Zion.

New Micromax ICS tablet [Coming Soon]

A new ICS tablet by Indian Company Micromax is spotted on online shopping site HOMESHOP18. According to HomeShop18 listing, it will be priced at INR 7,999 and will feature 7 inch capacitive display, 0.3MP camera, Android 4.0.3, 512MB RAM, 4GB Internal memory, microSD card support, and some A10 processor (probably this one – Allwinner A10 – ARM Cortex A8 SoC).
The tablet is currently out of stock, with no expected dates for the availability. We are hoping to see an official in the coming days, which should bring clarity on the exact release of this ICS tablet from Micromax.

This is a Warning to all buyers of New Dell XCD35 in India!!!!

                      NEW DELL XCD35 IS A CHINESE VERSION OF ZTE BLADE

If you are buying a new Dell xcd35 and it have a nice shiny back instead of regular rubber finishing then it is a Chinese version of ZTE Blade instead of European Version......

In early supply by Dell xcd35 is a European Version....

It means that there are high chances of bricking it if you update it using custom rom........and of course it is locked to a ~166MB of RAM......

Now It is written MADE IN CHINA now on the box....

I buyed it on 25th of january 2012 and updated it using guide available on this site ....As it says Dell xcd35 is compatible to this guide...as it it is tested on Older dell xcd35 (European version)....But mine new shiny Dell xcd35 aka ZTE Blade aka ZTE U-v880 (Chinese Version)......got bricked and till now no success....

So, Please Be aware of this fact Before updating your new DELL XCD35 (chinese ZTE Blade)......

so new Dell xcd35 with shiny back is a chinese blade......

And ya my phone is working again {was bricked on 30-Jan-2012}......

As all the chinese blade files worked for me it means that it is a chinese blade....WTF...

Put these files in your sdcard -

File 1- v1.6 Rom
Hotfix 1- Download
Hotfix 2- Download

Reboot phone in recovery mode, select choose file from sdcard and then install all files one by one....

Note: your dalvik cache will be regenerated (i.e. first boot will be slower), and you may want to clear your battery stats due to the new battery driver. If you have problems, manually clear the dalvik cache.
• Hotfix 1 : New hotfix to celebrate 800,000 CyanogenMod downloads & 1 million total MADTeam downloads! Fixed compass orientation, changed to newer wifi driver due to sleep of death issues with stock version.
• Updated Gingerbread 2.3.7 / CyanogenMod source - no longer marked as Release Candidate code.
• Due to reported problems, reverted to stock wifi driver - the only change is that wireless-N mode is activated.
• Replaced CyanogenMod's v5 wpa_supplicant with Samsung's v6 version. This should improve wireless signal with the stock driver.
• Fixed light toggle button in notification menu.
• Optimizations: reduced VM heap size to 24m, disabled surface dithering.
